Vale of Glamorgan PSB Well-being Assessment - Consultation

The Vale of Glamorgan Public Services Board (PSB) are consulting on its Well-being Assessment. This is the second Well-being Assessment undertaken by the Vale PSB, with the last assessment published in 2017.

This assessment has drawn-on a range of national and local data, research and evidence alongside the findings of the ‘Let’s Talk’ engagement to consider the state of economic, social, environmental and cultural well-being across the Vale of Glamorgan. The Well-being Assessment is made-up of a suite of reports which bring together the many different factors which impact well-being.

A View of the Vale of Glamorgan – An assessment of Current and Future Well-being brings together the findings of the assessment and provides the links to the four themed reports which provide a detailed analysis of data and evidence.

It is appreciated that the assessment is broad in its scope and by its necessity is very detailed. Your time in reading and providing feedback on the assessment is greatly appreciated. The consultation will be open from Monday 10th January to Sunday 13th February. We welcome your views, either in response to our online survey or by emailing: ValePSB@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk

The Well-being Assessment is an on-going process, work will continue to enhance and develop the suite of reports that comprise the assessment. This will include continuing to improve our knowledge base through new data and evidence, further developing our existing data and research and enhancing our engagement findings through more in-person interactions with residents and other stakeholders. Once finalised, the Well-being Assessment will be used to inform the PSB’s Well-being Plan which will be published in May 2023.

We have published a local Well-being Plan which includes our long-term vision for the Vale and our priorities for improving local well-being for people of all ages and across all areas of the Vale.
